Important Fitting Note For Dan Wesson 1911 Front Sights!

Over time, Dan Wesson has used three different configurations for their 1911 front sight dovetails.

2004 and earlier production used a proprietary D.W. dovetail (not available)

2005 through 2015 production were mis-matched in certain production years, the majority were “Springfield” but some were “Novak”

2016-present production uses the ”NOVAK” dovetail - Listed in the NOVAK section 

If you are unsure of which dovetail you have, or what year your Dan Wesson was produced, I suggest that you call Dan Wesson Customer Service and ask them.

They have been very willing to answer these questions.
