These beavertails are offered to the Gunsmith or Advanced Hobbyist to allow you to create that special shape or design for the "tail" that you've been wanting to do, but couldn't because the hammer pocket is in the way on pretty much every beavertail made.
The Gunsmith Special is identical to our other beavertails with the sole exception being that we omitted the hammer pocket during the machining process to allow you to reshape the top and rear of the 'tail to suit your needs and wants. Now you can create that "Throw Back" or "Retro" shape of the 'tail and create the custom one-off look you've been wanting to make.
