This is the best slide stop I have felt in a long time. The shelf is not to big or small. It still fits in the holster just fine and the ergonomics are great. Not just the same old boring slide stop.

I was never happy with the stock part and like a lot of folks I like to change things for the better.  It seems like most slide stops available are just slight variations of the stock part.  But this one isn't.  It is very different from every stop I have seen and from the minute I saw it, I wanted it.  

After more than 800 rds and countless drills cycling things by hand it has never failed to function.  It has locked back every time on an empty magazine and is easy and comfortable to manipulate by hand (with both or just one).

It dropped right into my Remington R1 with no fitting on my part.  All I did was file a chamfer on the outer edge so it wouldn't catch the edge fo my very tight zip slide holster (Pretty much a copy of what John H had done to one of his guns in the gallery)

While I appreciate the detail of cutting off the end of the pin and countersinking the frame so it sits flush, I left mine protruding as I use it as a reference for my trigger finger on the frame.

Great part, great function, looks good, I couldn't ask for better.

Replaced the MIM slide stop on my Sig Tacops. This is a quality built product and the finish matched my 1911 perfectly.  

This is one nice slide stop the bead blasted finish matches my DW heritage better than the original.  Mr Harrison went out of his way to send me one as per my request.  The side stop did need to be fitted to engage the slide properly.  Thank you

Installed this stop in a Para Ordnance Expert.
Dropped right in and functions perfectly. Works in the holster while making release much easier than mil spec stop.
Built like a tank but finished well. This is the third one I tried in pistol and the only one that worked without fine tuning.

I ordered this extreme service slide stop to replace the factory stop for my Rock Island 10mm.  The finish on it was excellent, very well made.  I did have to fit it to the slide and take some off the lobe for the magazine but I expected to have to fit it.  I took my time and it was easy to do.  Its a much better fit than the stock part and looks much better.  I recommend this for any 1911!

Like most savvy 1911 owners, when it's time to upgrade my sidearm I want to purchase those items from a knowledgeable, serious purveyor of the craft.  The Harrison Design Extreme Service Slide Stop I purchased and installed is a thing of simple efficiency, high performance and beautiful aesthetic.  Of course it works as described. All other slide stops should be evaluated and compared against this design. I'm sure JMB would have upgraded his original after seeing this Harrison Design Slide Stop.
