My beloved Colt Government 1911 has its factory trigger that was loose and sloppy. I purchased this HD-102-N Extreme Service trigger from John and then quickly realized I may be in over my head attempting to manage the fitting myself. John patiently assured me I was good to go and went out of his way to provide a very good and detailed instruction set on managing the fitting. Tools needed were minimal. More important were patience and attention to detail. In my case I was fortunate. The trigger needed very little in terms of fitting. In fact the shoe was perfect as it was and required no fitting. The over travel screw needed just a bit of filing and sanding which was easy per the instructions he provided. It’s perfect now. The trigger functions perfectly and looks beautiful in the gun - like it belongs there. John, thank you. I’m thrilled with how this turned out. This trigger is my favorite and I have replaced 3 so far. It has material to fit the top and bottom for a no rattle fit. No hole in the pad and smooth.

After using most triggers available in 1911s for the last 30 years, I have found that this is by far my favorite! Excellent quality with smooth clean edges and sized so that with just a bit of fitting it will fit perfectly. I have come to love the nonadjustable design. In fact, I just ordered two more "short" triggers for my wife and daughter's 1911s! Thank you!!
